Former Tri-Valley High School softball pitcher Ally Wiegand will get the opportunity to lead the Illinois Wesleyan Softball team, to its third straight NCAA Division III National Championship appearance beginning this evening. The sixth-seeded Titans open against No. 3 seed Rowan at Illinois Wesleyan University Field at 6:30 p.m.


Congratulations and good luck to the area’s class 1A and 2A boys track athletes participating at the state meet today.

(East Central Il--jc)  The first week of E I Baseball is now in the books.

At Colfax, Game Seven took a pair from the Reigning Champion Buckley Dutchmasters. Game Seven won the first game 3 to 2 and the nightcap by a score of 5 to 4. Royal took 2 from Paxton 7-3 and 15-14.


Bloomington, IL – The Illinois Coaches Association and the Shriners of Illinois will host the 44th annual Illinois High School Shrine Game on June 16th at Tucci Stadium on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan University. Kick-off for the 44th annual game is scheduled for Saturday, June 16th at 1:00p.m.  The pregame festivities will begin with a fun Walk for LOVE event held at the stadium starting at 9am. Eighty-eight of the state’s best football players participate in this all-star game to raise money for Shriners Hospital for Children, the official philanthropy of Shriners International. More information about scheduled events, along with rosters for both the East and West teams, can be found at www.ilshrinegame.com.
