(Farmer City-jm) -- The frequency that Farmer City council members get paid could be changing. Currently council members get paid once a month however, they are looking at changing it to either semi-annually or annually. They are also expected to approve meeting dates for 2018. The Farmer City city council meeting gets underway at 7 p.m.

(Clinton-jm) -- The Clinton YMCA is sponsoring a bus trip to St. Charles, Missouri later this month. The YMCA Christmas Traditions of St. Charles, Missouri will take place on Saturday, December 16th with the bus leaving at 9:30. Cost is $45 for adults and children 12 and under $20. (Gibson City-jm) -- Gibson City is accepting applications for a full time police officer position. To qualify, a person must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 years old with at least a high school education, valid driver’s license, pass a background investigation and pass the state test. Applications can be obtained from the Gibson City Police Department.
